ISLAMABAD – A new reward scheme has been introduced by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for all the whistle-blowers on reporting tax evasion, reported on Saturday.
FBR made an announcement for the reward scheme which influenced people to report tax evasion and corrupted officials. Any person who will make a report of tax evasion worth Rs. 5 lac will receive 25 percent of that amount and if the tax evasion is more than Rs. 5 lac and any near to Rs. 10 lac then he will receive a 10 percent of the amount along with Rs. 1 lac directly from the board.
A web link has been created on FBR’s official website with the tag ‘whistle-blower’ locally. The board has strictly prohibited any misuse of the web link and if found anyone guilty of doing so, he will be charged for it.
