RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday while carrying out 12 operations across the country, seized 15 kilograms of drugs and arrested 12 persons, including two women, involved in drug trafficking.
The seized drugs comprised 12.67kg Hashish and 2.28kg Heroin, worth Rs 26 million on the international market. During routine profiling near Chungi-26 GT Road in Islamabad, the ANF Rawalpindi arrested a drug carrier, a resident of Peshawar, and recovered 1.2kg Hashish from his possession.
In another operation, the ANF Rawalpindi recovered 1.03kg Hashish from a drug peddler, a resident of Gilgit, while arresting him at the Bus Stand of Jutial, Gilgit. The ANF Lahore recovered six kilograms of Hashish from the possession a drug carrier, resident of Bannu, while arresting him near Band Road in Lahore.
In another operation, the ANF Lahore arrested a passenger, resident of Narowal, at the Sialkot Airport, while he was boarding for Sharjah by the foreign flight (G-9552) and recovered 650 grams of Heroin concealed in his garments.
