QUETTA: Former chairman of Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) Muhammad Ashraf Magsi and his two companions were convicted by an accountability court on Tuesday.
Magsi had been accused of taking huge sums of money from candidates to unlawfully hire them for posts of grade 17 and above. He had been under investigation since November, 2014 when National Accountability Bureau (NAB) began investigations. He had also been handed over to NAB for a 4-day physical remand on May 10.
Incidentally, two of his daughters had also been terminated from Balochistan Education Department after their degrees were found to be fakes.
